Target Beauty Box On Sale NOW

This post contains affiliate links.

I always say this, but just in case anyone is seeing this for the first time… If you want this, get it NOW. Do not wait until after lunch. These sell out within hours of going live.

Now that we have that very important statement out of the way…

To those unfamiliar, Target has a beauty box full of samples and usually one or two full size items that goes on sale roughly once per month for around $7. Sometimes it’s more. Sometimes it’s less. Sometimes there’s more than one. In any case, they’re almost always spectacular– full of things you’ll actually use and can find at Target and worth considerably more than the price tag of the box itself. With a Target Red Card, you get an additional 5% off and free shipping. And if you’ve purchased the previous box, you’ll have a $3 off of $15 coupon that can be used toward purchasing the next box. (You can buy the limit of two boxes and a small additional beauty item.) Obviously, since you’re paying $7 for roughly $25+ worth of items, this is a great bargain. And with that, here’s the box currently up for grabs: Continue reading “Target Beauty Box On Sale NOW”

Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream

Available at Target. Priced at $17.99 for 1.7 oz.

I got this one way back in December in a Target Beauty Box. I’ve typically loved Olay products, and in fact Olay does make most of my drugstore go-tos when it comes to skincare. So this little gem has basically been acting as backup while I gave other samples I’ve gotten in various other boxes a go. Continue reading “Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream”

Fresh Rose Face Mask

Priced at $62 for 3.3 oz.

One of the things I absolutely recommend folks do is join Sephora’s Beauty Insider loyalty program. You’re not really obligated to spend unless you want the bigger benefits that come with VIB or VIB Rouge, but you do get a free item for your birthday every year. This year’s birthday gift is a choice between a mini skincare set from Fresh and a mini makeup set from Marc Jacobs. My birthday was in January, and since I have enough black eyeliner and red lipstick, I went right for the skincare set.  Continue reading “Fresh Rose Face Mask”

Available at Target. Priced at $32 for 50 ml/1.7 oz.

I was first introduced to this brand via Target through their Beauty Boxes, which is where I got my sampling of Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream, and my first impression was that this stuff is a moisture bomb. After finally finishing off the sample I had in my arsenal, I can definitely confirm that my first impression was right. Continue reading “Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream”

Plated vs. Blue Apron vs. Hello Fresh

I’ve talked in the past about how much I adore Plated. Well, lately I’ve been sampling some other very similar services, and I thought I’d break down my experience with each of them and let you guys know how they differ and what I like or don’t like about each one.

What is this box of food?

All three services have a similar concept. For a set price per serving, you can experiment with new recipes. You select the food you want from their menu for a particular week (or skip it if you don’t want anything that week), and they will ship you the recipe and the food used to make it. There’s no buying a whole bunch of something you’ll use once and then have tons of leftovers that inevitably end up in the trash. When I say they provide everything, I mean EVERYTHING. They typically will only assume you have salt, pepper, oil, and the occasional egg on hand. Continue reading “Plated vs. Blue Apron vs. Hello Fresh”

Do I need this? In-Shower/Wet Skin Lotions

This post contains affiliate links.

A few Target and Walmart Beauty Boxes ago, I got a couple of new body lotions to try out. The idea of something to use in the shower intrigued me, as it seems like it’d be a bit of a convenience to go ahead and get my lotioning done before I ever step out of the shower. So how did these hold up?

First contender… Continue reading “Do I need this? In-Shower/Wet Skin Lotions”

February 2016 Birchbox & Ipsy Review

This post contains referral links.

Boxes have been opened. Numbers have been calculated. Some stuff has been tried. Here’s what I thought of this month’s Birchbox and Ipsy subscriptions.

Birchbox

Feb2016BB

As I’ve mentioned, I didn’t go with the curated box this month, mostly because I didn’t want perfume. And of course… BAM! Birchbox gave me perfume anyway. (It’s also one of the reasons I didn’t get this month’s Target Beauty Box. I’m not a big perfume gal.)

Whish Revitalizing Cleansing Oil

For those of you who haven’t jumped on the cleansing oil bandwagon, let me implore you… Try out a cleansing oil. They’re amazing. You don’t need a separate makeup remover. You just smear a little bit onto your dry face and massage it in and then rinse it off. Your face if left feeling clean and soft and not zapped dry. Easy peasy! The curated box this month didn’t really appeal to me, so I decided to go with a sample choice. Continue reading “February 2016 Birchbox & Ipsy Reveal”
